Why does it take 3 weeks to receive my products?

Made-to-order is a model we have embraced since the inception of our studio. As opposed to mass production, it is about producing items upon purchase so we do not end up with unsold products that will have no home to go to and therefore become waste.

It is a sustainable way to manage stock, and reach a level of bespoke production that makes every product entirely unique as it is all made by hand, not by automated processes. It is the true artisanal model we want to foster at our studio. Due to the manual techniques we use for producing your hand-crafted products, it takes longer to produce a piece of clothing or homeware. We thank you for your patience, but rest assured it will be rewarded with one of a kind pieces.

Can I return my purchase for an exchange?

Unfortunately we cannot exchange products as everything is made specifically for you, to order. If your product arrives damaged upon delivery, please take a photo and send to We are not liable for any damages that occur during the delivery process but can facilitate an exchange if the defect came from manufacture.

My product does not fit, what options do I have?

All items are made-to-order, which means we craft your products specifically for you. We do not carry extra stock to avoid wasting material and have unsold items that would otherwise be thrown away. For fashion products, we supply a clear size chart which you should refer to before placing an order.

While we acknowledge all body shapes are different, we strive to make designs that are very adaptable to most body shapes from size 6 to 14. For other sizes, please send us a direct enquiry with your measurements.

Where are the products made?

All of our products are made in Nottinghamshire, UK.

How do I care for my hand-dyed garments and accessories?

Botanical dyes are more sustainable than other dyeing methods. At Osmose Studio we make sure that your items are dyed with the utmost care to preserve the integrity of the fibre and produce longer-lasting colours. However due to the fact that it is natural, some care needs to be given to your purchase.

Generally, DO NOT expose the clothing to prolonged direct sunlight exposure when you are not wearing. ALWAYS wash with a gentle programme with PH NEUTRAL soap. The PH of the soap can affect the colour and change it. Wash your naturally dyed items away from bright colours or black, it is always advised to wash it individually by hand due to the transfer of colour that can occur between your other clothes and Osmose clothing.

How do I know if a product is vegan?

Each product we have is clearly labelled with sustainability impact properties. Our product descriptions include information about their composition and if it is vegan. Please do send us your questions if you require more information at

I have worn my item a lot, where can I get it fixed or repaired?

We don't currently offer a full repair service but we can offer assistance on a case by case basis. Please email us with a picture of your product and where it is worn/damaged.

How do I care for my silk items?

Silk can be extremely delicate, especially silks carves and as such should be only washed by hand with a gentle PH NEUTRAL soap. Ironing should only be at low temperatures with a lot of steam. If in doubt, please refer to your care card provided with your item upon reception of your purchase.

How do I care for my Wool items?

Wool is generally self-cleaning, however in the event of stains, the item should be spot cleaned. NEVER wash in the washing machine - this will result in felting the entire knitwear piece. You can use professional dry cleaners or use spot cleaning immediately if it is only a small stain.

To spot clean, damp a cloth with cold or warm water and pat the area. Please be extra careful if you are spot cleaning your knitwear piece - do not use soap or rub the area, as it may result in felted wool/yarn.

How do I care for my mycelium items?

Mycelium fares very well indoors. At this stage it is not alive anymore so it will not produce any spores, however make sure it does not come into direct contact with water. It should be placed in a relatively dry area in your house (so avoid bathrooms!).

Can you ship outside the UK?

At the moment, we only ship to the UK because of Brexit rules but we have plans to ship to the EU very soon. stay tuned!
